The year is only a little over one quarter old but we already have some strong winners from the local JSE listed ETFs.
Topping the pile is the Satrix Resi (STXRES*) which is being helped by it’s +50% weighting to the gold miners as the yellow metal makes continued all-time highs.
We also see the Satrix Shariah Top 40 (STXSHA) doing very well as it holds a lot of gold miners with the Gold ETFs high up the list as well.
Europe is another ETF I’ve liked and the Sygnia Itrix Euro Stoxx 50 (SYGEU*) is having a great year.
What’s great to see for our local exchange is Top40 ETFs sneaking in at 10th place.
I’ve also included five and ten year total returns as ETF investing really is about the long-term, not just a quarter and some change.
On the down list it’s all about tech and the US but the five-year returns remain very solid even in the midst of this sell off.
