The pandemic and resulting lockdowns the world over devastated listed property locally and globally. Following the idea of a K shaped recovery which proposes a section of the market doing very well (the upper leg) while the lower leg continues to struggle we also see a similar situation playing out in the listed property.
Office and retail have been especially hard hit as we stay home while logistic property stocks have actually seen business boom during the last six months as online commerce takes off.
Keillen Ndlovu is the head of listed property at Stanlib and will be presenting this Power Hour looking at both local and global property investments. In previous years he has had a distinct preference for the more diverse offshore property market but with local property index trading at 2006 levels are we starting to see value locally?
