JSE Power Hour: Investing in local and global listed property

Simon Brown

When

8 October
17 30 - 18 30

Covid-19 has had a devastating impact on the listed property sector, both locally and globally. Following the idea of a K shaped economic recovery which suggests the upper leg of the market does very well while the lower leg continues to struggle,  we see a similar situation playing out in the listed property sector.

Office and retail properties have been especially hard hit as corporate SA stays home, while logistic property stocks have actually seen business boom during the last six months as online commerce takes off.

Keillen Ndlovu, Head of Listed Property at Stanlib and will be presenting this Power Hour and looking at both local and global property investments. In previous years Keillen has had a distinct preference for the more diverse offshore property market but with the local property index trading as 2006 levels, it begs the question if we are starting to see value locally.
