Top 40 stock returns in 2015
2015 has been a mixed year for JSE Top 40 stock returns. The Top 40 index went up almost 5% before dividends while the Indi25 lead the way and the Resi10 crumbled. The picture would have been worse if a couple of commodity stocks hadn’t left the Top 40 index. Kumba was off 83% but exited the Top 40 before the year was out so they’re not included in this graphic.
The big players remained largely the same, with Naspers, SAB and international giant British American Tobacco dominating the pack.
