| Description:
The Oribi South Africa Top 30 Index Prescient ETF is an index-tracking portfolio that aims to replicate, as closely as possible, the performance of the MerQube South Africa Top 30 Index (ZAR), providing investors with low-cost, diversified exposure to the South African equity market. The fund replicates the index by holding all constituents in their exact index weightings. The benchmark holds 30 South African–domiciled companies with their primary listing on the JSE, drawn equally from three sectors — Resources, Financials and Diversified — with each sector weighted at one-third of the index. The index is reconstituted once a year and therefore incurs lower turnover and trading costs than more frequently rebalanced strategies, supporting the fund’s low-cost objective. |
