Bye-bye 2025. You’ve been a year. From the liberation day sell-off in April the Rand has strengthened almost 300c to trade under R17/US$ and the Top40 has rallied over 50% to all-time highs. It’s been wild, but profitable.

Against this backdrop we end the 2025 Standard Bank Power Hour season with our traditional year end prediction show in which Simon Brown will look ahead to 2026 and how we should position our portfolios.

This will be the thirteenth year doing this event and as always Simon first starts by looking back at his 2025 predictions to check in how he did last year.
