What exactly is a preferred partner?

A Just One Lap preferred partner carries our stamp of approval. These are companies that embrace low fees and simplicity in their products. We commit to working with only our favourite supplier in each industry.

Not all financial service providers are created equal. It can be a challenge to find providers who are as interested in solving problems for their customers as they are in turning a profit. Over the years we’ve had the opportunity to work with a number of financial services providers, ranging from index houses and brokerages to retirement fund managers and insurance operations.

Through many conversations, we have found companies with senior management teams that care as deeply as we do about access to the financial markets for all South Africans. These companies share our passion for financial education and sustainable wealth creation across generations.

What we get

Our preferred partners pay us a fee that allows us to keep sharing financial education for free. These fees cover our overheads, like salaries and hosting fees. With these expenses covered, we can continue to produce educational content that will empower you to make good financial choices.

If you’ve been with us for a while, you’ve probably heard us mention these suppliers or service offerings before any commercial arrangement existed. We are committed to remaining impartial in our assessment of our preferred partners, as well as their competitors. If you feel this is not the case, please get in touch with us.

How you can help

Keeping this platform free for all South Africans requires collaboration. We have set up accessible systems and created a network of contributors and industry experts to help us navigate our personal finances. Our preferred partners are helping us fund this effort to ensure our continued survival. You can help by considering our preferred partners when you are making choices around your personal finances. It would also be enormously helpful if you could let our preferred partners know that you heard about them from us. You can find the contact details of each of our preferred partners by clicking on the partner logo.
