Today sees our sixth petrol price drop in a row as it hits 1009c on the reef for 95 unleaded. The price peaked at 1439c in April last year and has been falling steadily since August 2014. The recent fall has been swift and last time we had petrol below 1000c was in April 2011 when it was 996c.
Below is an infographic on the price overlaid against the Rand/USD oil price (brent), but there are a lot of moving parts in the petrol price and we’ve also added some of them.
